The first step in submitting an online application for LAT is to create an account on the Education Testing Council’s (ETC) website. Simply sign up using etc.hec.gov.pk. Upon providing your personal information, you’ll land on the dashboard displaying relevant announcements.

The second step involves following the LAT announcement and entering all academic details. Choose your preferred test city from the list and submit your application. Note that educational information or the preferred test city cannot be edited after submission.

After applying for LAT, the final step is to pay the fee using a bill payment method. The website will generate a consumer number, which you should copy and paste into EasyPaisa or JazzCash. Save the payment receipt screenshot. Congratulations, you have successfully applied for the LAT.

Troubles faced by students while applying for LAT

Firstly, if you’ve previously applied for LAT, you don’t need to create a new account; simply log in to your existing one. However, some students face a challenge when they forget their old password. Attempting to log in with an incorrect password can result in HEC blocking the account. To avoid this, try to remember your old password. If you have forgotten your password, forgotten, lodge an online complaint on the HEC website.

Secondly, for students under 18 without a CNIC, they can use their B-Form number. The B-Form number provided by NADRA serves as the CNIC number for every student. It’s crucial to avoid using someone else’s CNIC number, as it can lead to complications when entering the examination center.
